One row for each SKU

Start with five inventory inputs.

Each row represents a unique SKU. Enter the stock and purchasing assumptions that drive its reorder calculations.

  1. Current units on hand

Enter the inventory units available at the end of the day.

  2. Minimum reserve units

Set the minimum inventory reserve you want to maintain for that SKU.

  3. Average sales per day

Use average daily unit sales to estimate inventory usage. The template includes logic for calculating this input.

  4. Lead time

Enter the time required for replenishment to arrive after an order is placed.

  5. Order multiple

Enter the unit multiple used when placing replenishment orders.

Reorder inventory level

Identify the inventory level at which a replenishment order should be placed.

Quantity to reorder

Inventory alerts & review tools

Find the SKUs that need attention.

Use conditional formatting and filters to focus your review on upcoming inventory orders.

Three color alert tiers

Red highlights fewer than 5 days until reorder. Yellow flags upcoming reorders below 30 days, while green indicates more than 30 days remaining.

Whole days and units

The calculations use rounding to present practical day and unit quantities without fractional days or half units.
